Cost is $40 per student per week, paid at the first meeting of the month. Students work on their own individual projects and receive personalized instruction and guidance in a small group setting. Teen group is focused toward but not exclusively for teens who are building a portfolio for college applications. If you would like to join a group, at least one private lesson outside of class should be completed in order to determine a general course of study for the individual. Please contact Lacey to sign up or for more information.

Long Pose Open Figure Sessions

As scheduled on Saturdays, 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
$10 per session

Please refer to the schedule on Facebook for further information about specific dates, times, and models. We will always start with 30 minutes of shorter poses, and either follow with a 3 hour long pose, or a 1 hr pose and a 2 hr pose. The model will be sometimes nude or sometimes with props or a costume. This is the perfect place to try painting from life, work on composition, create a finished drawing, or even sculpt! Please feel free to bring any artist materials to work with that will not disturb nearby artists or leave a mess behind. Space is plentiful.

For more details about each meeting, visit Red Door Studio's Facebook Page.

Private Lessons

Lacey is currently accepting new students for private lessons at the studio. Fees are $40/hr if lessons take place at Red Door Studios, with an additional travel fee for lessons scheduled in your home. Please contact Lacey or see the Private Painting and Drawing Lessons page for more information.

Models:

We are always looking for new and talented models. We work with models experienced in working for colleges, other artists, or whose previous experiences include burlesque or other performances. We are interested in the classic nude, but we also love working with models who are inspired to take on a character and use props or costumes when the pose for us. Models of both genders, all ages and shapes are needed for open figure sessions and classes, which tend to be booked relatively far in advanced. If you are interested in modeling for the sessions and/or future classes, contact Lacey with your information, availability, and experience. It is helpful to include an image or two of yourself, not in order to reject you, but in order to help avoid scheduling similar models consecutively. Please note that Lacey finds herself to be very busy, so please do not get discouraged if your email is not answered promptly. Please feel free to continue emailing if your first inquiries are not answered; eventually you will get a response! Also, please note that Lacey does not currently have any openings for models for her own artwork. Generally, she chooses to work with models with whom she is familiar, after learning about their personalities and seeing that they will work well for a specific painting or drawing. Thank you!
